Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends Soul gospel Jazz and R&B to create a unique mix. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway up to The Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. The real name of Sunshine is Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician singing and playing at the church in town. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You a house 12 issued only in Japan; it has since been remixed by many producers and remains a staple in her live show. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. In 2005, she became the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy as well as Tony Awards-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to serve as the director of the choir for the stage production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
