John Denver is a popular performer and songwriter that has touched many people with his songs. The majority of his hits are based on Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell in New Mexico. He fell in love with Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's state anthems, which are well-known, have been a draw for many who have come to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declared the following: John Denver is the only musician to truly embody Colorado. In the year 2011, Denver was selected as the Hall of fame's first inductee. Denver is viewed as the embodiment of Colorado to people from throughout the world. It is commonplace to meet people from other nations, for instance New Zealanders. They ask them "I am from Colorado" and they immediately reply with Oh John Denver. Brown said. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's top 10 solo success after performing with small folk bands. It was written, co-written and recorded by Bill Danoff. Danoff originally wrote it using Johnny Cash's songs in the back of his mind, however Denver realized from the first time he listened to the first versions of the song that it was going to be an instant popular. The song was performed on stage in Washington D.C. to a large audience, Denver made a recording a few days later.
